Edward Meehan

Edward Meehan, MSW, LICSW

One of Edward’s core beliefs about therapy is that people are separate from their problems. Edward believes the therapeutic relationship should be collaborative, and characterized by hope, optimism, possibility, and a spirit of adventure; clients should be the experts of their lives and their mental health care. Edward operates from a trauma-informed and harm reduction lens. He has a Master of Social Work degree and is licensed at the clinical level (LICSW). As a licensed social worker, Edward understands the importance of viewing an individual’s circumstances in the context of their family, community, and environment. Edward has worked in a variety of mental and chemical health settings over the past decade.

Edward enjoys assisting his clients with matters including anxiety, depression, relational issues, PTSD, grief, loss, and compulsive sexual behaviors. Edward has pursued post-graduate trainings in evidence-based Internal Family Systems therapy and narrative therapy; he continues to actively seek training and expand his base of knowledge and clinical skill. Edward sees adults (+18) for therapy.
